The morning was spent at Eely point in a series of friendly competitions, and after a hearty shared lunch, we wandered back to school for the tug of war – where Iron reigned supreme.

The whole day was characterised by an abundance of generosity and warmth – and the students excelled themselves: whether it be the courage of our new Year 7 cohort, acting as royalty on the Waka or the care of the seniors who ran the bulk of the activities in the sincere desire to make sure the younger students experienced the same magic that they did when they were younger.

The snapshots of the day were taken by house photographer Gena Bagley

Three hundred students, twenty teachers and a whole lot of joy were the key ingredients for Iron House Day in 2020.

I am in my 11th (and last) year as an Iron House parent. I am loving the Iron House Crew. This update is a great start for the year. I feel students are going to get the best support throughout the year. Well done.

Thanks so much for this positive response, Trudie! Later this term weā€™ll run some events that parents can be part of – lets catch up then. I bet youā€™ll have a wealth of advice for us.
